I have been passionate about home decorating for as long as I can remember. I didn't have my Barbie dream house long before I built an addition out of an old side table and added a splash of color with new throw pillows hand-sewn from scraps of old clothes. As life moved on, I kept my love for all things home but considered it a hobby. I obtained a Business Marketing degree and enjoyed a successful Human Resources career with a Fortune 50 company before transitioning to a nationally recognized branding firm, creating product names and slogans for major food and beverage companies, automobile manufacturers, cruise lines, and more. These experiences in the corporate environment have strongly influenced my success as an interior decorator. My years as a corporate recruiter taught me the priceless art of active listening, relationship building, and time management. Because I strive to design for your style, not my own, my design plan is only as good as the information that I have gathered. My process to create a design is born out of years of branding - learn as much as you can about the product/space, then create a solution that delivers the desired outcome, consistent with current messaging, that pleases the client.

After staying home to raise my son, I obtained my Certification in Interior Decorating and transitioned my pastime of helping friends and family into a thriving interior decorating business built on referrals. While it is profit that differentiates a business from a hobby, making a name for myself in the industry has never been my goal. When I started my own business, I considered working under my name as many decorators and designers do. However, it is very important to me that my clients do not feel I have imposed my personal preferences on their space but rather I have guided them to achieve a space representative of their unique style. My passion is helping my clients see the possibilities in something new.
